My Clella Belle

My sweet granny, Clella Belle. She was the type of Southern lady that many try to emulate but few get the chance to know. I remember walking in the house to find her standing at the kitchen counter making biscuits, her green grasscloth walls, the umbrella stand filled with peacock feathers and riding to church in her red Oldsmobile. Granny, or “Ba” as I liked to call her, fancied herself an interior designer and made sure to take her color wheel with her everywhere. She infused my childhood with pattern and color and inspired me to create unique interiors that I know she would have loved.

I named the studio after my granny as an ode to her and the way she lived her life, beautifully, lovingly and boldly.
