Our dear clients came to us having just purchased a newly-built home in Nashville, and were moving from New York with limited furnishings.

The challenge we were tasked with revolved around the fact that there were mostly builder-grade finishes throughout the home, which needed a creative reimagining. We transformed the fireplace area in the living room by removing existing built-ins on either side, and modernized the fireplace itself by adding a plaster finish. We extensively updated the lighting and hardware throughout the home to help give the space more personality, in addition to plenty of new furnishings.

Luckily, some elements in the space lent themselves to thoughtful updates as opposed to a full replacement. In the upstairs office, for example, after initially planning to replace the existing cabinetry, we instead gave it a new life with a fresh coat of paint and well-curated hardware.

The client was thrilled with the way we were able to transform the space from builder-grade to bespoke beauty, in a way that truly feels like home.
